  1. I took a class from David Taylor and have completed the hand appliqued portrait. I am a long arm quilter and would like to complete the quilting on my long arm but even after a lot of practice I am having difficulty making it look neat and not just a messy bunch of thread! Will your quilting part of the course be helpful to me?
    Thanks,
    Linda

    1. Hi Linda,

I am an admirer of David’s work and have thought about taking his class, but the scope of it keeps me in my seat. Anyway, congrats on completing the hand applique.

The Quilting and Finishing course is designed to help you get over the hurdle you describe, where you have tried free motion quilting but aren’t satisfied with the results. I break it down so that if you follow along, you will gain enough confidence to quilt your portrait.

I offer suggestions for various skill levels, from ‘I’m petrified’ to ‘I’ve got this’. As you know, we get better with practise but so often we get discouraged and there is little reward. I created the course with this very thing in mind. I just launched the course last night on a new platform. Here is the link: https://annemathers.thinkific.com/courses/quilting-and-finishing

I’ll update the website with the new link right away. I hope to connect with you soon.

      Anne
